— Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on Sprucevale Road at Gretchen’s Lock at 6:56 p.m. Sunday in which a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old from Niles was southbound and traveled off the roadway into a guardrail to avoid hitting a deer. No citation was issued.

— Matthew Earl Watson, 40, North Surry Road, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash in the 14000 block of Sprucevale Road at 4:50 p.m. Sunday in which he was southbound on a motorcycle when he lost control on the bend of the road, laying the vehicle on its side and ejecting both himself and his 12-year-old passenger. Watson was transported by ambulance to the East Liverpool hospital with suspected serious injuries. His passenger was transported by ambulance to the East Liverpool hospital with minor injuries.

— Justina M. Desarro, 32, no address listed, was charged with domestic violence after officers responded to the 14000 block of Cannon Mills Road at 3:05 p.m. Saturday where she allegedly assaulted her mother by hitting her in the back of the head during an altercation about her use of narcotics in the home. She also threw a decorative glass heart toward her mother, causing damage to an interior wall. Desarro was transported to the East Liverpool hospital due to her level of intoxication.

— A Gonzales Avenue resident filed a fraud report at 1:57 p.m. Saturday.

— A patrolling officer at 2:30 a.m. Saturday observed a vehicle in a parking lot on Bell School Road for which the owner was suspended for failure to reinstate. The vehicle was then driven from the parking lot and the officer stopped it, cited the driver, who was not identified in the report, for failure to reinstate.

— Officers responded to the 16000 block of Annesley Road at 10:03 p.m. June 17 where a resident reported his neighbor’s dog had attacked his dog in his yard.

— Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the Irish Ridge state Route 11 southbound ramp at 9:03 p.m. June 17 in which a vehicle driven by Gordon L. Adams, 45, East Liverpool, was in the left turn lane and was sideswiped by another vehicle attempting to merge into the lane. The other driver failed to stop and fled the scene south on state Route 11. No injuries were reported.

— Tia Rashell Miller, 32, no address listed, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and left of center following a traffic stop on McCoy Avenue at 5:08 p.m. June 17 in which a digital scale with white powder residue on it was found in the vehicle.

— Officers responded to the 15000 block of state Route 170 at 1:32 p.m. June 17 where a business owner reported someone attempted to put up a yard sale sign on the property and he threatened to burn down the business when told he was not allowed to put up the sign. The man was found across the street and claimed the business owners began yelling at him. They were told to stay away from each other.

— Joni Lynn McDole, 29, no address listed, was charged with drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue at 11:18 a.m. June 16 in which a search of the vehicle revealed a metal pipe with chor boy and tin foil with a white rock substance in a backpack in the back seat.

— Alvin Stanley Pugh, 42, Cannon Mills Road, East Liverpool, was charged with persistent disorderly conduct after an officer responded to his home at 6:49 a.m. June 15 for a noise complaint. Pugh had been warned on multiple occasions to stop playing his music loud and disturbing neighbors.

— A Columbus resident reported at 1:26 p.m. June 14 someone had used his bank card four at a Dresden Avenue business four times on May 30 without his permission.

— Bryan Patrick Malone, 33, no address listed, was charged with domestic violence after officers responded to a 49000 block Grimms Bridge Road home at 8:54 a.m. June 13 where he allegedly assaulted his brother by trying to punch him in the face with a closed fist. He was knocked unconscious during the ensuing scuffle on the ground and then attempted to attack his brother again when regaining consciousness. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Moore Street at 11:21 p.m. June 17 where a woman reported another woman had invited her live with her in a home in the 100 block of Church Street, but learned that it was condemned. She said when she attempted to leave, the other woman grabbed her by the shirt, ripping it off, and took her cell phone charger so she couldn’t call the cops. The woman said she then got away and went to a friend’s house to call. Officers checked the house but were unable to find the other woman.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of East Fourth Street at 6:44 p.m. June 17 in reference to someone hiding in the woods and found a man nestled in the weeds like a bird in a nest. The man said he decided to settle down there because he is homeless and had been kicked out of every other place he camps at. Officers said they would keep their eyes open for a rental and let him know of any.

— Officers responded to a 300 block Market Street business at 6:42 p.m. June 17 where employees reported a woman had been in the restroom for over an hour and had dropped a hypodermic needle on the floor when someone checked on her. The woman was taken outside by staff members so as not to disturb the other patrons and the woman denied being in the restroom for a long time. She was told the business wanted her to leave and she did without incident.

— Gordon Gatrell Davis, 46, no address listed, was arrested on active warrants out of Columbiana County after an officer on a disabled vehicle call on Maine Boulevard observed him walking in the area after officers were told to watch for a male who had possibly been attempting to steal catalytic converters. Davis was found in possession of a plastic container with suspected methamphetamine and two glass pipes. The suspected methamphetamine was sent to the lab for testing, with additional charges pending results

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Fourth Street at 12:02 a.m. June 17 where a resident reported a man she knows was outside throwing items around and knocking on the door. The man had left before officers arrived and they could not find him in the area.

— An officer responded to the 500 block of College Street at 8:05 a.m. June 16 where a caller reported the resident would not let him in to get his belongings. The officer attempted to contact the resident but no one answered the door. The caller was told to wait and try again later.

— Officers responded to the area of Carter Lumber on Jackson Street for a woman who had run out of gas June 2 at 5:05p.m. They transported her to Circle K to get more gas and then took her back to her car.

— Officers were dispatched to Courthouse Inn at 9:30 a.m. for a medical call. They stood by until EMS arrived on the scene.

— An out-of-place vehicle at the Port Authority office at 7:22 p.m. June 7 turned out to be a landscaper, officers reported.

— A Jefferson Street resident reported he was the victim of a phone scam at 1:49 p.m. June 7. He said a man named John Henry keeps calling from a 509 area code phone number and telling him he won the lottery but needs to send money to a woman named Alivia Lopez in California. The man sent $1,500 initially but went to his bank and stopped payment on the check. He wanted other people to know about the scam.

— Officers were sent to McKinley Avenue for reports of a barking dog at 7:50 p.m. June 8. Contact was made with the homeowner who said he would bring the dog inside.

— Police were sent to some downed power lines in the roadway in an unreported location at 10:26 p.m. June 8. Police stood by until the fire department arrived on the scene.

— A caller from Apple Grove apartments told officers his neighbor was not home and he said he heard cats at 7:40 p.m. June 8. Police advised him to speak to the manager of the apartments.

— Officers spoke to a woman regarding a civil child custody issue at 5:07 p.m. June 9.

— Police spoke to the subject of a protection order about a violation on June 9 at 11:25 a.m. Officers found he had not yet been served so there was no violation.

— Officers stopped the occupants of a car parked at Willow Grove Park at 12:47 a.m. June 9. Officers identified the occupants and told them the park closes at dark. They left.

— Police came to a medical call at 5:54 p.m. June 9. The woman was breathing but unconscious. They stayed on the scene until EMS arrived.

— A caller from North Jefferson Street told police at 7:44 p.m. June 9 that his neighbor’s dog wouldn’t stop barking. Police arrived and heard no barking. They advised the caller to speak to the neighbor’s landlord.

— Police responded to a domestic call at 9:49 a.m. June 11. The mother had kicked the father out but he slept on the porch steps overnight and then kicked the door in in the morning to see the kids, according to the report. Both stated no physical violence had occurred. The parties agreed to stay away from each other.

— A resident of Moore Street contacted police about a stolen bike at 1:15 p.m. June 11. Police said they’d contact her if they located it. It is older-styled and dark blue, the report said.

— A resident reported at 8:30 a.m. June 11 that a person had been following them in a white car. They said it appeared to be a woman. Police advised the caller to call back if it happened again.

— Police responded to a two-car crash on state Route 154 at just before 3 p.m. June 12. The cars were westbound when the first car slowed to make a right turn and the car behind hit them. No injuries were reported.

— Police responded to multiple 911 hang ups from the Eagles in Lisbon at 8:33 p.m. June 13. The caller’s phone was malfunctioning. Police helped her fix it.

— Police were called to J Mullen for an alarm drop at 6:17 p.m. June 13. An employee told officers they had set it off.

— An alarm coming from a property for sale on North Street turned out to be a faulty smoke detector, police found at 6:24 p.m. June 13 after they contacted the realtor on the sign.

— Police responded to a traffic stop from the Post near 154 past state Route 11 at 12:34 p.m. June 13. The female driver refused to identify herself. Officers stood by until she was identified then cleared the call.

— East Liverpool police told officers they had a wallet belonging to a local man at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday. Police were not able to make contact with the man.

— Police were dispatched to the area of state Route 154 near BP for a man walking in the roadway at 11:59 p.m. June 12. Police gave him a ride home.

— Police stopped for a disabled vehicle on South Lincoln Avenue on June 13 at 11:49 a.m. They called Baker Towing to assist.

— Kevin Bryson was cited for driving under suspension and expired plate after police responded for a domestic call at 9:42 a.m. June 14. Police found him while he was driving which led to the charges.

— A caller reported a stolen dog at 4:03 a.m. June 14. The next day he told police he knew who took the dog. He said she took it to the warden but he did not want to pursue charges because she bought him a phone.

— Police made contact with a reported suspicious male at the pool at 9:53 a.m. June 16. The man said he drops his son off at 8 a.m. summer school and picks him up at noon. The man waits there instead of driving to and from his town, he said.

— Police got a call about a man and woman arguing in the park at 1:12 p.m. Thursday. They said it looked like he was going to hit the woman. Police checked on North Market Street but could not locate them.

— Police received a report Thursday at 3:25 a.m. of a tree in the roadway at North Market before Dunkin Donuts. They closed the road until the street department moved the tree.

— Police were called at 12:12 p.m. Friday about a naked child on a back porch near West Washington Street. An older sibling said she was watching the child. Police said she was covered in black paint and there was a ball of blankets, water, and some Taco Bell there. They said it looked like the child was sleeping there. Children’s Services and the child’s mom, who was not home, were notified.

— Police responded to an alarm drop at Fleming House Friday at 3:39 p.m. A worker advised they had been cooking and set it off. Everyone was outside and police told them the fire department would be responding and everyone needed to stay outside until then.

— Suspicious activity in Apple Grove was reported to police at 9:33 p.m. Friday. The caller said their apartment was almost broken into the night before. Police advised them they would be doing extra watches in the area.

— Police responded to Jefferson Street and East Lincoln Way at 9:36 a.m. Saturday for a malfunctioning traffic light. The light was reset.

— Police were called to West Washington Street for a report of juveniles on the roof Saturday at 9:43 p.m. Police contacted the residents of the home and advised them to stay off the roof.

— Police responded to a medical call at 9:41 p.m. June 1 in the Lisbon Square. They stood by until EMS arrived.

— A report of a civil dispute brought officers to Morrison Street at 8:25 p.m. June 1. Tey stood by as one party collected his items from a vehicle on the property.

— Officers stopped with a disabled vehicle for traffic control near Circle K June 1 at just before 5 p.m. The car was removed from the roadway.

— Officers located a truck parked in a lot near South Jefferson and East Washington at 3:58 a.m. Sunday with its four-way lights blinking. They contacted the owner who said they would check the truck and turn off the lights.
